First day of school!!

Blogs everywhere will be blogging about the first day of school for the next month or so...which begs the question...why should you come and visit OUR blog? What do we have to offer you here that might be different? Let me answer that question with a montage of pictures....I present to you....SCHOOL THROUGH THE YEARS!!

It sounds so cliche to say...but they really do grow up WAY TOO FAST! I am always telling Sami that I would just like her to stop growing...to which she always replies,(with her hands on her hips no doubt) " I can't Mom...I want to grow up and be a mom like you someday too!" Okay, melt my heart why dontcha.

Tour de village

Our first Monday in town we decided to go exploring! Since everything in town is only about 5 minutes away, by car, we seized the opportunity to get out and "tour de village" by bike.

Beautiful cathedral! Love the red doors....more red doors in 3...2...1...
MORE RED DOORS!! BEAUTIFUL!

Mmmmmmmm.........d-o-n-u-t-s.

It looks like she is going to crash right into him! Trust me...you should be more worried about the women riding her bike trying to take pictures!!
"A picture moment?!! Wait...make sure you get my best side!!"

Historic downtown
"Hurry! Let's ditch the crazy picture-taking-lady-on-a-bike! She is totally embarrassing us!"

Dinner anyone?!
She makes a face every time I turn the camera on her...I have NO IDEA where she gets that from..wink,wink.

Overall, our "tour de village" was FANTASTIC!!

Change...it happens

Winston Churchill once said, " There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction." Although I believe that to be true...that doesn't mean I have to LIKE it.

There has been changes in our family as of late. Big changes, good changes, changes that are life changes, the kind of changes I KNOW to be in the right direction....hard changes.

I am not sure that you need, or even want, all the details...but suffice to say that this change is one that we felt was made for us. Not that the choice was taken from us, but that "the plan" was already laid out and we just needed to follow. And follow we have.

Our little family has only ever existed (lived) in one house. We have been fortunate to have lived in the same house for 4 1/2 years. In that time we have learned, lived and loved A LOT. This is where we started...

Then we moved in with my folks for a bit to save money...

And now...this is where we have finally landed...

Because this blog isn't private...I am not sure if I am going to announce EXACTLY where we moved to...(although it sounds like something I would do) so let me just say this...it IS to a different state...and it IS directly northeast of the state we used to live in. (I am sure I will slip up and say things about the town we live in so, if you are paying attention, you will probably figure it out.)

We are just getting settled in. Settling in IS going well. We like it here. It IS a good fit for us. Who knows...I just might LIKE this change after all!

WELCOME TO OUR LIFE!!

THE DAY OF RECKONING IS HERE...no...not the ACTUAL day of reckoning..c'mon you don't really think I would have any knowledge of that do you? I mean, have you MET me!?

What I mean is I have finally decided to enter the world of blogging! I am really no good with technology. No, seriously! I just learned how to transfer photos from my "picture-taker-thing-a-ma-bob" to my "keyboard-with-a-magical-screen-thingy". And with that knowledge I have decided to inform the masses of all of our goings-on. (much to my husbands dismay)

I am really not sure what you will find on this blog...

Opinions of mine?.... Uh, hello....when have I EVER held back on that one?!
Random thoughts I am having?.... Probably...who knows...what were we talking about?
Grammatical errors and sentences that make no sense?....most definitely!!!!

And best of all....PICTURES!!! LOTS OF PICTURES!!!

So to start this blog off, I decided I would post two of my very favorite pictures of Sam...my daughter. These picture just crack me up! Background story (2 years ago)...so she used some of her money to buy a small container that had 3 mustaches in them. Why a 7 year old girl NEEDS fake mustaches I will never know...but she really wanted them. And this is what she decided to do with them:

The Fonz

That smile didn't last for long when we had to rip those suckers off!! Yee-ow-zah!!
